The idea for this wallpaper collection started shortly after we moved into our new home. I asked my daughter what she wanted to do with her room. She responded with an enthusiastic "animal wallpaper." When I asked her which animals she wanted, she simply replied, "all the animals." At first, I was a bit stumped. How was I going to fit all the animals onto one wall while still making it look fresh and clean? As the owner of a wallpaper company, I also wanted to create a design that we could add to our site and sell. I knew I had some thinking to do.
It shouldn't have surprised me that my daughter wanted all the animals. She's adored animals since she was born, lining up every figurine and stuffed animal she owned every single day. She would wake up every morning, set them all up on a table, and then meticulously put them back in their containers each night. Her love for animals is truly infectious.
It took about eight months to wrap my head around how to create this wallpaper. Then one day, inspiration struck: animal portraits. What if we created a wallpaper featuring a wall of animal portraits, each in its own frame? And not just one type, but a variety of collections to appeal to every animal-loving child. I envisioned a whole room filled with these charming portraits, bringing stories and personalities to life on the walls.
Once the idea took shape, the entire Urbanwalls team got involved. We began by researching different animals and their habitats, and we thought about the different genres and beloved stories that we could incorporate into the designs. The process was a labor of love, as we meticulously curated each animal portrait to ensure they had the right blend of charm and whimsy.
Seeing the finished product was incredibly rewarding. As soon as we installed the wallpaper in my daughter’s room, she was over the moon. She immediately wanted to move her bed away from the accent wall to avoid covering any of the animals. It was heartwarming to see how much joy it brought her, and I knew we had created something special that other children would love too.
