Although Valentine’s Day may feel like ages ago (how is the year disappearing?!), we wanted to let you in on this adorable brunch we did with Mosaic Homes and life stylist Monika Hibbs. After all, hosting a fun, girly brunch can be a year-round activity, so get ready for inspiration!
Mosaic Homes had a great idea…why not invite Monika to host a Valentine’s brunch in one of their 4-bedroom model homes at Kitchner, their new community in South Surrey. These homes are perfect for entertaining, featuring open-concept floor plans and 10-foot ceilings. The light spilling from the windows and airy ceilings was an entertainer’s dream. From the tablescapes to the delicious food itself, no detail was left to chance. Monika even used throw pillows to complement the brunch’s colour pallets!
And while we may be just the teensiest biased, our favourite element of the whole day was a DIY bouquet bar with Floralista Alice de Crom. Monika transformed a corner of the Mosaic Homes kitchen into a floral bar and asked Urbanwalls to install our Greyscale Flower decals behind the display. The result was a springtime dream. What better way to offset the real technicolor blooms than to place them in front of our own oversized grey beauties?
