Designing custom wallpaper for a historic wedding venue requires more than choosing a beautiful pattern. It requires listening, understanding how each room is used, and selecting a wall covering that enhances both emotion and function. At Greencrest Manor in Michigan, the Garden Room became the first space where everything aligned. What began as a discovery visit quickly turned into a defining design moment, shaping the direction of the entire Greencrest Collection.
This post shares how one floral peel and stick wallpaper design became the anchor for a room filled with natural light, wedding morning memories, and year-round gatherings. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at how thoughtful wallpaper selection can transform a venue without overpowering its existing character.
Our first off-season visit to Greencrest Manor marked the true beginning of this project. Surrounded by fall light and changing leaves, we toured the manor with intention, observing how each space is used and where wallpaper could thoughtfully elevate the experience. This visit wasn’t about final decisions, but about listening, learning, and laying the foundation for a timeless, nature-inspired collection rooted in Greencrest’s history.
