How to Avoid Damaging Your Walls with Peel and Stick Wall Decor
Installation Disclaimer
Peel and stick wall decor has become a popular choice for adding a personal touch to any room. Not only is it easy to install, but it also allows you to change up your style without the hassle of painting or drilling holes in your walls.
However, as much as we love peel and stick wall decor, we also want to help our customers avoid any potential damage to their walls. Here are some things to consider before applying our products.
Wall Paint and Primer
Our peel and stick products work best with matte, eggshell, gloss, satin or semi-gloss paint. These types of paint have a smooth surface that allows for better adhesion of the stickers. On the other hand, we do not recommend using our products on drywall or primer-only finishes as they may not provide enough grip for the stickers to stay in place. If you are unsure about your wall's finish, it is always best to test a small sample before applying the entire product.
Freshly Painted Walls
If you have recently painted your walls, we recommend waiting 4-5 weeks for the paint to properly cure before applying our products. This will ensure that the paint has fully dried and adhered to the wall, providing a better surface for our stickers.
Test Adhesive
Not all walls are created equal, which is why it's important to check if your walls have a textured finish. Our standard adhesive is designed for smooth surfaces, while our textured adhesive is better suited for walls with a slight texture. Make sure to test a sample of our product on your wall to determine which adhesive works best.
Pre-Clean Your Surface
Before applying any peel and stick products, it's important to properly clean your surface. Use soap and water to remove any dirt or debris, and make sure the wall is completely dry before proceeding. This will ensure that the stickers have a clean surface to adhere to and will help them stay in place for longer.
We hope these tips will help you avoid any damage to your walls while using our peel and stick wall decor. Remember, it's always better to take some extra precautionary measures to ensure a successful and long-lasting installation. Happy decorating!

Additional Tips
In addition to the above considerations, here are some extra tips to ensure a smooth installation and protect your walls from damage:
- Avoid placing the stickers on walls with peeling paint or wallpaper, as this may cause damage when removing the stickers.
- If you need to reposition the stickers during installation, be sure to do so gently to avoid any tears or rips in the product.
- When removing the stickers, do so slowly and carefully to minimize any potential damage to your walls. Use a blow dryer if you feel any resistance to help lift the adhesive.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or cleaning products on the stickers, as this may cause them to lose their adhesive properties.
By following these additional tips, you can ensure a successful and damage-free experience with our peel-and-stick wall decor. Thank you for choosing our products, and happy decorating!
