IDSwest + Blend = A Pretty Fabulous Weekend
If you asked me how my weekend went I would have to say it was pretty darn awesome! The IDSwest show was in full force at the Vancouver Convention Centre and I got to attend the tour on Thursday night with the lovely Nancy of Marcus Designs. The show did not disappoint. Total feast for the eyes.

These would look great in my bedroom.. right? RIGHT?
LOVED it all. Great mix of modern, rustic, traditional shabby and any other theme you can think of fixed into one great show.
What really had me excited was Saturday night at our Blend event. How fun for me to be able to finally meet all the fabulous designers and bloggers that I have been stalking following online for so long now. All of them were so sweet and gracious. What a treat it was to escape the woes of potty training and preschool-runs to get all fancied up and hang out with some of the loveliest of ladies at the Loden Hotel. Not to mention Kelly Deck and Suzanne Dimma. Ok, maybe I didn’t hang out with Kelly and Suzanne but they were in the same room and I did stare at them for an awkward amount of time thinking of ways that I could drop my napkin in front of them and start a convo. Close enough!
Here is a little outfit shot that you NEVER see me normally post because I don’t often know how to dress but heck, if I’m going to do it I might as well document it. Thanks Mary for dressing me

It was definitely a weekend to remember. Thank you Nancy, Barbara, Karla and Victoria for planning such a fun night and thank you to IKEA Canada for sponsoring the event. Cheers to next year.. and the bigger room

What a great post Danielle! I love the way you write… especially the part about dropping the napkin. That’s funny, because seriously, you are one of the nicest, easiest, and most fun people to talk to… which I’m so glad I got to find out this weekend! Can’t wait to reconnect again, and in the meantime I’ll see you on the SM network

Lets hang out SOON!!
Hi Danielle
It was so much fun meeting you last weekend at Blend. I too wanted drop my napkin and start a convo!!! Although, not going up to them at all ….. trying to be cool until things calmed down proved to be the wrong approach as she was gone before I could go back to even just staring. Maybe one day we’ll be able to have a “convo” with Suzie.
Haha! YES! we’ll have to come up with a more creative approach then dropping our napkins
